1916 E.J. Harling Map
The 1916 E.J. Harling Map gives a unique view into the southeast side of the mountain, with trails and points of interest not mentioned on any other map. In particular it details the original Red Cross Trail, the lower section of which is now Poole Road. There are also the now lost trails from the Ark (Monadnock Bible Conference). Additionaly there are details here around the Halfway House Trail which are not found on some of the other maps there, although the density and hand-drawn nature makes it hard to infer exact details.
It seems that a 1915 version of this map exists, although I was not able to find a high resolution scan. Only a grainy photocopy. I’ve included this 1915 version in the alternative formats below. There are some subtle differences, such as the “Spooky Woods” trail being labeled differently and no Wesselhoff Pond present. It has some interesting details though, such as the “trail to sawdust pile” and the “off” placement of Lost Farm trail.
